So what’s the point to cleaning your tank?
Obviously it’s to get the most flavor
and performance out of your tank.
First you gotta figure out
what kind of agent you’re gonna use.
Those three that we’re gonna talk about
are water, cheap vodka,
and PG- propylene glycol.
You’re also gonna wanna
have microfiber cloths
or paper towels and
q-tips available as well.
As for which of the three agents
that I mentioned that you wanna use,
it completely depends on
you and your comfort level.
Something else you wanna
consider when choosing
the cleaning agent is
how dirty the tank is.
If it’s really dirty,
you’ll probably wanna
lean towards PG or cheap vodka,
but if it’s just kinda dirty
and you’re just switching out your coils,
a quick rinse is perfectly fine.
First, disassemble your tank
as far as you’re comfortable
disassembling it.
And keep a mental note of
where the pieces are going
because if you put it together incorrectly
it’s gonna leak all over the place,
and who even likes leaky tanks?
Next, you wanna soak your
tank in either vodka or PG
even hot water for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Once your done, go ahead
and take the pieces out
and put ’em on either a microfiber cloth
or a paper towel to let ’em
dry off for a little while.
Once that’s complete, take a paper towel
or microfiber cloth and
wipe away all the water.
Use a q-tip for the harder to reach spots.
For the outside of your tank,
rubbing alcohol works great.
Just put some on a paper
towel or microfiber cloth
and wipe away the outside.
And of course, hot water works too.
It’s just all based on your preferences
and what’s readily available to you.
Clean your tank as often as you like,
and use these steps to do it.
There it is, now your tank is clean.
